Cipromax is a medicine used to treat respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia or bronchitis, urinary tract infections including cystitis and kidney infections, and some types of gastrointestinal infections such as diarrhea caused by bacterial infection and intestinal infections. It is also useful in cases of skin and soft tissue infections as well as to treat bone infections caused by bacteria.
Cipromax is prescribed as part of preventive therapy to treat or prevent infections in people who have been exposed to some forms of dangerous bacteria such as anthrax.
